EDMONTON MAKEUP ARTIST

Nothing against social media influencers, but instead of trying to draw their face on top of yours, why not invest in finding your beauty?

You don’t live behind a filter, so you don’t need to know how to master trends and create caked-on makeup styles that only look good on screen.

Let’s not only make you look good, but also have fun with the trends.

In a world of Insta-lookalikes, you want to look like you!

I’ve never met a face that isn’t beautiful

An Edmonton makeup artist is all about functional beauty. I specialize in creating customized looks and routines that accept your one-of-a-kind features and don’t require you to learn a whole new skillset.

At the end of the day, you want to look in the mirror and see the best version of yourself smiling back at you. You have more important things to do than being self-conscious about your appearance. There is no need to spend hours watching online tutorials, spending a small fortune on products you see on TikTok that don’t work for your face. You need custom advice so you can spend your precious time meeting the world with your ideas and feeling powerful and confident enough to demand the attention you deserve.

I believe that expressing yourself with makeup is all about showing up as your best self, unapologetically, whatever that looks like to you!

    —Katy F.

  • "Michelle's makeup class was fun and informative, even for experienced individuals. I struggled with eyeshadow, contouring, and finding suitable products before. Michelle's expertise made learning comfortable. I left confident and excited to experiment, especially with foundation matching and colour correcting. I'm now confident with eye makeup."

Say hello to
Edmonton Makeup Artist, Michlle Grad, with curly black hair sitting on a red patterned chair holding a vintage vinyl record, surrounded by green plants, in a room with a brick wall and wooden furniture.

Two sprigs of green herb with thin, needle-like leaves
Blush pink colored cream or makeup swatch with textured strokes.

I’m Michelle, the Edmonton makeup artist behind mG Artistry. I have been working in this industry for 3 decades and have only ever seen beautiful people in my chair. It’s not just because supermodels come to me. It’s because all humans are beautiful.

But for some reason, they don’t all feel that way. It’s my passion to uncover your beauty & help you see it too. We all have at least one physical feature that we’re proud of… and some that we would like to blur into the background. I’ll share the many tools that I’ve gathered over the years to teach you the best way to showcase your favourite bits and reveal to you how beautiful the rest of us already know you are.

From girl next door to 70’s beauty queen
and everything in between…

Whether you’re primping up for an event, or wedding or just need to learn the basics of makeup application tailored to your features, we can work together to show you off.
